The short version: you buy a kit, you keep it, and if it is not what you expected we give you your money back. The rest of this page is that, said carefully.
What you are buying
A country kit is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews and nothing is charged again. Buying a kit unlocks it on your account, so it follows you to a new phone when you sign in.
Refunds
If a kit is not what you expected, email us and we will refund it. We do not ask you to justify it and we do not set a deadline for asking. If you have already opened a dispute with your bank, we will not contest it.
Your account
Signing in uses your email address and a link we send you; there is no password to lose. You are responsible for the email account itself. You can delete your account at any time from your account page, which erases your email, progress and unlocks immediately — see the privacy page for exactly what that removes.
Fair use of the content
The phrases, audio, and written material in a kit are ours, and are licensed to you for your own use. Use them on your trip, quote them to a friend, print a page and take it with you. Do not republish a kit or resell it as your own product. Country flags are used under their own licence, recorded at /flags/LICENSE.
What we do not promise
A kit is written by people and checked by people, and it can still be wrong. Languages have regional differences, customs change, and a phrase that is polite in one city can be stiff in another. Foreigndly is a travel aid, not a translator, a legal document, or advice — do not rely on it for anything medical, legal, or safety-critical. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Availability
This is a small operation. We aim to keep the site up and the kits working, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Kits are stored on your device after the first load, so a site outage does not take your kit away from you.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes with them. A change never applies retroactively to a kit you have already bought.
